Who is SHOFIC built for?
Facilities that receive or ship freight on a dock: distribution centers, 3PL warehouses, cold storage, food and beverage DCs, building products yards and manufacturing shipping docks. If your day includes deciding which truck goes to which door and when, you are the fit. Anywhere from a single 6-door site to a multi-facility network.
Do carriers need an account or a paid seat?
No. Carriers and drivers use a public booking link for your facility. There is nothing to install, no seat to buy and no charge to them. That is deliberate. Adoption dies the moment you ask a dispatcher to create another login.
Does this replace our WMS or TMS?
No, and we do not want to. SHOFIC owns the appointment layer and sits beside the systems you already run. Bring appointment, ASN or PO data in by CSV or API, push confirmed appointments back out, and let your WMS stay the system of record.
What data does SHOFIC actually need?
Operational shipping data and business contact details: facility and door setup, appointment times, load and equipment type, pallet or case counts, carrier company names and the work email or phone of the dispatcher or driver we need to send a confirmation to. That is the whole list. We do not collect consumer records, payment card data, health data, credit information, background checks or biometric data of any kind, and we do not track driver location.
How accurate are the unload time estimates?
Day one you get a baseline from the load profile you describe, which is already better than a flat 60-minute slot. Accuracy climbs as your own completed appointments build history for each carrier, load type and door. Every estimate is visible and editable, and a person always approves the schedule. SHOFIC recommends, your dock supervisor decides.
When does it launch, and what does the waitlist get me?
We are onboarding private beta facilities in scheduled groups. Waitlist members get access in order, founding pricing locked for the first year, hands-on setup of your doors and booking rules, and direct input on what we build next.
How does billing work?
A flat monthly or annual subscription per facility, charged in USD by card or ACH through our payment processor. Annual billing saves two months. There is a 14-day free trial at launch, no setup fee, and you can cancel from your account at any time. Full detail is in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
How is our data protected?
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, hosted with US cloud providers, and separated per customer account. Internal access follows least privilege and is logged. We do not sell data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we never use one customer's dock data to build another customer's numbers. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
We run several buildings. Does that work?
Yes. Each facility keeps its own doors, hours, rules and booking link, and the Network plan adds a rolled-up view across sites so you can see where capacity actually is. Talk to us and we will scope it with you.
